Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly), is a rap artist with a distinct style. Baker was born the 22nd of April, 1990, in Houston Texas U.S. into an extended family of English Scottish and German descent. His parents are missionaries. As a child, he traveled extensively with them. James Colson Baker suffered from depression and was unemployed, while Sonia Alane abandoned them at the age of nine. Baker moved to Denver with his father and lived there for a while. Baker received a lot of attention from fellow children because of his lack of wealth. In sixth grade, he began listening to rap.
